Pteet.com offers primary rental car damage insurance, on a daily and annual basis*, covering up to $45,000, for the following:
1) The rental car is damaged while you are driving or while the rental car is left unattended (daily & annual basis*)
2) The rental car is damaged as a result of other causes (for example: fire, storm, vandalism or theft) (daily & annual basis*)
3) If your baggage is lost, damaged or stolen while you are traveling up to $1,000 (annual basis*)
4) Travel accident coverage if you are in an accident during your trip, up to $25,000 (annual basis*)
* the annual product can only cover rentals that do not exceed 45 days at a time each time a car is rented throughout the year.

Coverage starts when you pick up your rental car and ends when your return it; provided you have purchased your policy for the dates of your rental.

Yes, but you must purchase the coverage before you take possession of the car.

You should purchase a new policy for the extended period, but you must purchase it before your original policy expires. If there is a lapse in coverage, then coverage is no longer available. Total number of days covered cannot exceed 45.

If you are not completely satisfied, you have 10 days (or more, depending on your state of residence) to request a refund, provided you haven't started your trip or initiated a claim. Premiums are non-refundable after this period.

With the Rental Car Damage Protector daily plan, baggage and personal items will not be covered by this policy.
With the Annual Basic Plan, yes, your baggage can be covered for loss and damage up to $1,000.

Plans are only available to U.S. residents and may not be available in all states or for all cars. Rental Car Damage Protector is available in most foreign countries for eligible cars. No coverage is provided for motor vehicles rented in Israel, Jamaica, Republic of Ireland or Northern Ireland. Unless purchased as a separate plan, it is not available to TX residents.

Best Co., under BCS Form No. 52.201 series or 52.401 series, or Jefferson Insurance Company (NY, Administrative Office: Richmond, VA), rated “A+” (Superior) by A.M. Best Co., under Jefferson Form No. 101-C series or 101-P series, depending on your state of residence and plan chosen. Plans only available to U.S. residents and may not be available in all jurisdictions. Allianz Global Assistance and Allianz Travel Insurance are marks of AGA Service Company or its affiliates. Allianz Travel Insurance products are distributed by Allianz Global Assistance the licensed producer and administrator of these plans and an affiliate of Jefferson Insurance Company.
